What We Do
Financial Planning | Investment Management | Tax Strategy
An Integrated Approach
Financial Planning
We start with your perfect day, then build out the financial plan to support it. Your life is dynamic—your plan should be, too.
• Cash flow planning and savings strategy
• Equity compensation management (ISOs, NQSOs, RSUs, ESPPs, 83(b) elections, etc.)
• Retirement and work optionality planning
• Personal home and investment real estate decisions
• K-12 and higher education funding
• Charitable giving and Donor-Advised Fund creation
• Generational wealth building and gifting
• Estate planning and trust management
• Life and disability insurance planning
Investment Management
Our job is not to predict markets, but to build a customized allocation that works through them. We don’t speculate, but rather focus on what we can control and invest with humility, evidence, and intention.
• Globally diversified, low fee, and low turnover portfolios
• Concentrated position management
• Tax-aware rebalancing, loss harvesting, and asset location
• Transparent portfolio and performance reporting
• Education-forward approach to communicating the behavior of markets and range of expected outcomes
Tax Strategy
Taxes aren’t a once-a-year event: they’re a year-round opportunity. We take a strategic, forward-looking approach to help you minimize your lifetime tax burden.
• Tax-efficient investment vehicles
• Tax projections (federal, state, FICA) and analysis
• Capital gains strategy and loss harvesting
• Pre-tax versus Roth analysis and Roth conversions
• Asset location and withdrawal strategies
• Business entity and real estate tax opportunities
• Coordination with your accounting/CPA team
Our Service Offerings
Ongoing Comprehensive (Full-Scale Offering)
-
You want to take full advantage of Peltoma’s high-touch, comprehensive offering of financial planning, investment management, and tax strategy. You are seeking a thought partner to help manage tradeoffs across all money matters, and serve as a true outsourced CFO for your family. Over 90% of our firm’s clients are on this model.
-
To serve dynamic needs of clients, our firm offers flat annual planning fee of $8,000, $12,000, or $18,000, depending on overall complexity, which covers the full scope of our financial planning relationship. This flat fee includes up to $1 million in managed assets.
For assets above $1 million, there is an additional discounted, tiered AUM (investment management) fee. This applies only to assets above $1 million, starting at 0.50% and declining at higher asset levels.
We do not have an asset minimum.
We provide a fee quote at the end of the second exploratory meeting, which considers your specific situation and overall complexity involved. Fees are billed quarterly, directly from a client’s managed taxable account.
Investment Management-Only & Institutional
-
You do not need nor desire traditional planning work, and simply wish to have an investment portfolio managed expertly. Services involve cash management, asset allocation and investment selection, concentrated position management, rebalancing, and investment-specific tax strategy such as loss harvesting, asset location, and tax-efficient funds.
-
Percentage of Assets Under Management (AUM), starting at 0.50% for the first $10,000,000, then 0.25% for assets above $10,000,000.
Institutional cash management starts at 0.3% for the first $10,000,000.
There is an $8,000 annual fee minimum for these services.

Starting at $500/hour, negotiable.
The Exploratory Process
We are happy to offer 30 minutes of our time to anyone who is exploring hiring a firm like ours. No products. No sales pitch. Just a conversation.
We’ll spend this time getting to know each other—your values, goals, and questions—and exploring whether we’re the right fit to help. It’s a chance for you to learn more about how we work, and for us to understand what’s most important to you.
Oftentimes these conversations focus on just three questions:
What’s happening in your life that has led us to this exploratory conversation?
Can you tell me about you and your family, your vision for your life, and what you find most nourishing?
What questions do you have for us?
30-Minute Exploratory Meeting
If both parties agree there is a mutual fit after the first conversation, we generally offer a more in-depth review of your financial situation.
We’ll collect a series of financial documents and statements from you, organize them, and share takeaways from a first-draft financial plan built around your real-life situation. This session gives you a clear sense of our approach—how we think, what we prioritize, and where we see opportunities to add value.
Whether you move forward or not, you’ll leave with our best insights.
